AVAU, the Italian fragrance house founded by siblings Leonardo, Carolina, and Caterina Catalani, opened its first permanent retail location on July 30, 2026, at Via Fiori Chiari 7 in Milan's Brera district. The brand name is the phonetic rendering of "A Vow," a reference to the family's three-generation perfumery lineage.

The space was designed in collaboration with Crosby Studios. Interior elements include stainless steel fixtures set against the building's historic details, a Vatican fresco-inspired sofa, and a central display structure the brand calls the "Magic Tray." The boutique will carry the full AVAU line.

Brera is Milan's established gallery and design district. AVAU's arrival places it adjacent to independent fashion and furniture retailers rather than the luxury brand clustering of Via Montenapoleone. The Catalani siblings have staked their first physical retail bet on neighborhood foot traffic over flagship-corridor prestige.
